TEACHING

For Ning, teaching is an extension of choreographic practice.

Rather than focusing on copying movement, she encourages dancers to understand how movement is generated, how it connects with breath, intention and musicality, and how each performer can develop an authentic physical voice.

Her classes combine technical training with creative exploration, helping dancers strengthen both physical ability and artistic awareness. Students are encouraged to observe, question and discover movement through experience rather than imitation.

Drawing on her background in Chinese dance and contemporary choreography, Ning creates an open learning environment where tradition and contemporary practice can inform one another.
